- EXE files can't be linked to at run time so a shared core is needed.

- As uninitialized global variables can't be exported I had to add
initializers to the exported globals that didn't already have one.

- Due to an 'optimization' done for OS/2 v3, DLL file names are limited
to 8 characters plus the .dll extension. As most of the module names are
longer than that I've had to map the module names to a shorter version. This
is done in src/modules/standard/Makefile.OS2. The short version of the module
name must be used in the SharedModule statement in Configuration and in
the LoadModule directive in httpd.conf

- I had to mess with the dependencies in src/Makefile regarding the
"libhttpd.ep" as I don't want to build one. It _should_ still work for the
sysv people it's meant for but I have no way to check.

- .def files are needed for all DLLs. The one for the core dll is based on the
Win32 one and is called ApacheCoreOS2.def. The .def files for modules are
generated on the fly by the makefile.

Configuration.tmpl being newer than Configuration. If both files are
created within a minute of each other (eg. when using APACI and shadow
trees), ls -lt is unable to resolve the difference and orders them as
specified on the command line. For example, on Linux:

This could allow us to do binary distributions without source if we choose
to.

PERL detection now makes sure it is perl5 since the 2 scripts in question
(dbmmanage and apxs) require perl5.

Fix some breakage I introduced when creating apachectl.

binbuild.sh to use tar when copying distribution files to the
serverroot. This allows upgrading an existing installation
without nesting the new distribution in the old.

install-bindist.sh now detects the local perl5 path to install
apxs and dbmmanage with proper path to perl interpreter.

Add an install-binsupport target which copies the source files
for apxs and dbmmanage to bindist to allow these scripts to
be properly installed relative to the destination serverroot.

FWIW - abort during commit for changed files commited without
comments.

recurse when it attemps to handle a request for a directory wnd the
value of the DirectoryIndex directive is a single dot. Also likely
to happen for anyother values of DirectoryIndex that will map back
to the same directory. The handler now only considers regular files
as being index candidates.
