With no further feedback in the past two weeks, finally make ldap
  buildable on the 2.0 releases on Win32 (without extra hoops of various
  ldap toolkits, etc.)  This change will require the user to have the
  Win32 client kit installed, which is available for NT as a seperate
  download and provided with 2k/XP.  It's really not that conceivable
  that someone working in a 9x only environment will need this, but their
  client is available on the 2k distribution CDs.
