6.  Physical resource log management.

Provisioning and lifecycle management service interface produced by the PIM enables consumers to set up and provision physical resources, including composed physical resources that comprise of multiple physical resources. It also enables physical resource lifecycle management operations including creation, update, querying and deletion of corresponding managed objects related to physical resources that are managed by the PIM. Furthermore, this service interface supports sending notifications to the subscribed consumers about changes related to physical resources.

Inventory management service interface is produced by the PIM, and it enables consumers to query and update inventory information related to physical resources in the NFVI. The service interface also supports providing notifications to subscribed consumers regarding any changes in the inventory information.

Topology management service interface produced by the PIM enables consumers to query topology information related to physical resources, which  includes the physical topology information and the logical topology information. Physical topology refers to the relationship between physical resources from physical perspective and logical topology refers to the relationship between physical resources from a logical perspective. These concepts are described in detail in clause 6 of ETSI GS NFV-IFA 053 [\[1\]](#_ref_1). Additionally, this service interface supports management of logical topology information including the creation, update, deletion of physical resource pools. It also supports providing notifications to subscribed consumers in case of any changes in topology information of physical resources.

Inventory management service interface produced by the PIM enables consumers to query and update inventory information related to physical resources in the NFVI. The service interface also supports providing notifications to subscribed consumers regarding any changes in the inventory information.

Topology management service interface produced by the PIM enables consumers to query topology information related to physical resources, which  includes the physical topology information and the logical topology information. Physical topology refers to the relationship between physical resources from physical perspective and logical topology refers to the relationship between physical resources from a logical perspective. These concepts are described in detail in clause 6 of ETSI GS NFV-IFA 053 [\[1\]](#_ref_1). Additionally, this service interface supports management of logical topology information including the creation, update and deletion of physical resource pools. It also supports providing notifications to subscribed consumers in case of any changes in topology information of physical resources.

Performance management interface is produced by the PIM and enables consumers to collect performance information related to physical resources. The interface also supports creation, update, query and deletion of PM jobs and thresholds so the consumers can control the collection and reporting of performance information.
