## Roles and responsibilities
Maintainers are the "gatekeepers" of the Forge, ensuring that only changes that have been through the ETSI CR process make it into the [main branch](Conventions/Branching-convention).
Maintainers are responsible for:
* Creating, managing and removing [meeting branches](Conventions/Branching-convention),
* Accepting CRs in the Forge once agreed by the meeting
* Resolving post-meeting issues
Only Maintainers are capable of:
* Adding and removing [project members](How-To/Join-a-project)
* Accepting Merge Requests on protected branches ([meeting and main](Conventions/Branching-convention))
Mainatiners may require the assistance of other meeting delegates in discharging these responsibilities e.g. for resolving merge conflicts.
If you have a problem with the Forge, the Maintainers should be your first point of contact.
## Current maintainers
To maintain the integrity of ETSI's published artefacts, only ETSI staff (Technical Officers and CTI members) are permitted to be Maintainers of the [production repository](Process/Repository-structure). Currently, the maintainers are:
* @rizzoc (SA3LI Technical Officer)
* @firmin (ETSI CTI staff)
For a full list, see the [project members](https://forge.etsi.org/rep/li/trial/-/project_members?search=&sort=access_level_desc) page.
The Trial repository is used for testing and experimentation. To make that possible, there are a number of other delegates who are Maintainers. If you need help with the Trial repository, get in touch with:
* @canterburym
* @mewburn
* @vanschelts
For a full list, see the [project members](https://forge.etsi.org/rep/li/trial-trial/-/project_members?search=&sort=access_level_desc) page.
