0005227: xml header type?

Description

In ttcn3 xml types is missing definition of XML header type.
But due to RFC3076 P.4.1
   The XML declaration, including version number and character encoding
   is omitted from the canonical form. The encoding is not needed since
   the canonical form is encoded in UTF-8. The version is not needed
   since the absence of a version number unambiguously indicates XML
   1.0

what about if we want to use non-canonical forms?
i think we need to support "header" types in ttcn3 due to xml compatibility.

(0008723) Iztok Juvancic (reporter) 05-06-2009 08:14 edited on: 08-06-2009 07:49	Reason, why we need header, shema types is in calculating of Content-Length of SIP message body. Regarding XML mapping to ttcn3, there should be also mapping of header, namespace ... Like for other protocols? Not just with some stribute parameters? I have found another solution to get the length of some info element(eg. messagebody). I think that ttcn3 function "encval" will return encoded bitstring and then we can calculate its length. But how is with compatibility with older versions of ttcn3?
