I would then like to suggest to rename from "dummy" to "message" template or something like this, e.g., m_ACK_Dummy to m_ACK_message.
My understanding of dummy is that it means "useless".
How do you want to however treat mw_requestLine_dummy? Parameterize it with a method?
Also what about the message body setting to omit .. that may no longer we feasible either.
In principle I am ok with this change. But i would like to see a more concrete solution proposal
This means however that this change will affect a number of templates .. but it should anyway at this point be mainly in the SIP libary |

I would parameterized mw_requestLine_dummy with method. In other modified templates we do not have any need to put method in it. Dummy templates which are prepaired for sending will not be used because parameters need to be set for sending. Because of this reasone we can leave Dummy postfix. Only templates for receiving can be used in case if only method need to be checked. This solution can be done only on LibSipTemplates module. And there will not be any other changes. |
